My journey from the world of a corporate job to pursuing my passion for designing jewellery, has been so exciting and fulfilling, I have loved exploring designs by combining various stones and colors. In the process, I have met so many interesting people, and been exposed to many different techniques of product design, settings and markets that I wasn’t aware of…not a dull moment since!

Baby steps

I had started with designing jewellery for my mother and myself mainly, combining old pieces – an old pendant with an earring or an old coin, playing with colors, beads, textures, silver and gold chains…. I sat for hours with the jewellers rummaging through what they could offer and how we could get the designs to life.

My husband supported and prodded me along the journey, as did my friends -encouraging me to follow my passion. I took the leap of faith and put together my first collection. I held my debut exhibition in Dubai, at the start of the year, the response was spectacular and since then there has been no looking back.

Keeping pace with social media

What comes so naturally to many, was overwhelming to me – the world of social media!!

A natural progression, I guess.

With guidance from my boys and the digital agency team (and a lot of YouTube tutorials) – I made the transition from face-to-face interactions, to the world of Instagram and Facebook. It opened a whole new world to people passionate about jewellery – looking for jewels perfect for all occasions -destinations, events, celebrations or even to add some color to a mundane day at work!

Gradually, the world of social media started becoming familiar and it became our stage, the jewellery danced into the spotlight, turning our profile into a virtual treasure trove.

Entering the Online Odyssey: Our Very Own Website

We didn’t stop there and raised the stakes by launching our own state-of-the-art e-commerce website. I was amazed at how much preparation and effort goes behind the scenes before one can have a product shot that looks as real as the actual products. After weeks of hard labor, we were able to have the entire collection online, seamlessly. Shopping suddenly became effortless!

Expanding Horizons: Ahmedabad, Hyderabad & Delhi here we come!

Can you feel the festivities in the air, because we can !!

What better way to commence the celebrations than showcasing our jewellery in these beautiful cities, allowing the people of Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Delhi, to touch, feel, and try our jewellery and hopefully add color, drama and joy to the festivities to come.

We just got back from the exhibition in Ahmedabad, blown away by the response. So much fun to meet so many fashion enthusiasts, hear their stories, see them marvel at our designs – and share our passion for these pieces- Thank you Ahmedabad!

Next, we are headed to the city of Nizams – Hyderabad!

City known for its rich culture, architecture, design, jewels, and divine cuisine. I am looking forward to meeting everyone there – come say hello on the 9th of September at the Park Hyatt at Sverve.

Last but not least is our finale for the year  – the pre Diwali show  is in Delhi on the 18th of October at the Ashoka Hotel in collaboration with The Pink Post Inc.

As Prasoon Joshi in his song described it ‘ Yeh shehar nahi mehfil hai, Yeh Delhi hai mere yaar, Bass ishq mohabbat pyaar’. Looking forward to it being a fabulous prelude to the celebrations and enjoying the mefhil!  Hope to see all the jewellery lovers in Delhi 🙂

Labor of Love: Our Gorgeous Collection

The outcome of this journey has been our range of jewellery. It is Modern and versatile. A mixed bag of large pieces, smaller everyday wear, earrings, chokers, bracelets, bangles, and rings -Firozas, Emeralds, Rubies, Agates, Moonstones, Moissanites, Pearls (the list goes on)….all set in 925 silver.

The jewellery is inspired by Indian designs, our travels, movies,and nature – be it the flowers or the birds and the bees. The jewellery is for a modern woman, confident and elegant.
